The art of Georgiana Gheorghiu (aka Georgianka), a resident of Chicago, will be among the local artists whose work will be on display at the 9th annual “Chicago Art Open”, the largest annual exhibition of Chicago artists under one roof.
The show will be held from Tuesday, October 17, through Saturday, November 4, in 18,000 square feet on the second floor of the Zhou B. Art Center, 1029 W. 35th street in Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood.
The art that Georgiana will display at the show is titled: Time slips through your fingers- onyx and oil on wood, tryptic. This is a tribute to the 9/11 victims.
The show is open seven days a week. Hours are: 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. There is a $ 5 suggested donation but those 18 years or younger and students with ID are admitted free. The event’s opening reception will be held from 6:00-11:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20. Admission is $ 20.
