  • Are the Chicago Blackhawks going to be easy competition for my Penguins come Stanley Cup Finals time?

Posted by admin on December 30th, 2009 and filed under Chicago | 11 Comments »

They have no goaltending and some criminal on their team called Patrick Kane.
They have no fans too. Only show up when they win.
chicago is Detroit Mid West and just as ghetto.

    OOH, you mean Calgary.

Will Calgary be easy competition for your Penguins come Finals?

The answer to that is no.

Hey if the regular season was the playofs you guys are pretty much done.

NJ at PIT: Pens loss 4-1
NJ at PIT: Pens loss 4-1
NJ at PIT: Pens loss 4-0
PIT at NJ: Dec. 30(WAS THAT A SWEEP BITCH)

And Chicago’s not gonna make it that far shit face. Its gonna be between SJ and DET.

Shit dude even the injured Wings took the devils to a shootout, but the healty pens cant even make it past the 2nd period.

      Excuse me?
We have the best pair of goaltenders in the league, 3 shutouts each. Kane didn’t do anything, his cousin did and the driver made a big deal about it.
Whenever someone talks about the Blackhawks, they HAVE to mention the fans. We have the right to call our home the MADHOUSE ON MADISON STEET. When I hear a Pittsburg home game, it sounds like an indoor pool with all the echoes.
Chicago is no where near as much ghetto as Detroit OR Pittsburg.

(Something that starts with a Y?)? Detroit ad San Jose? They’re in the same conference, San Jose always makes it pretty good in regular season, but goes no where in the playoffs, and Detroit is just plain disappointing this year.

Didn’t the Hawks go into Mellon Arena and beat the Pens earlier this year??

As for the fans only showing up to support a winner. Maybe you should do a little research as to why the fans were not showing up when the Hawks were not winning. It had nothing to do with winning or losing. Blackhawk fans are among the most loyal in all sports. The Blackhawks owner at the time was Bill Wirtz and he basically thumbed his nose at the fans and the fans responded by not showing up. His kid Rocky Wirtz brought all of the fans back by bringing back the legends, Hull, Mikita, Esposito and by putting a good product on the ice.

Does anybody even live in Pittsburgh?

The only thing the Blackhawks lack is a goalie, but with a stout defensive philosophy that allows less than 20 shots per game I think you could put a couple pylons in net and win two out of three. Regarding your assessment of the fans–I am from PGH and have lived in CHI the past 7 years and can tell you the fans are more hardcore than Pens fans and never wavered support even when the team was horrible. Kane is a kid and is a model citizen by NBA/NFL standards, what did he do? Skip out on a $10 taxi fare? Come one, stop being so provincially ‘burgh. Yinz, a’nat, yoy and double yoy.

Yes the Blackhawks will, and who said the penguins will actually make it to the finals. Your bias to the Penguins is not even funny. Check your facts before you make determinations like these. GO RED WINGS!

No. If it comes down to the Backhawks and the Penguins in the Stanley Cup Finals the Penguins will get whipped by Hossa and his boys. I don’t think the Penguins will even make it to the Cup Finals, though.

You are a sadly informed human being who makes really rude comments.

The Penguins might not get past the Devils in the playoffs this year. As for fans only showing up for winners, it wasn’t the Hawks that went into bankruptcy protection (much about lack of fans in the seats, not making money when your building is empty). By the way, not a Chicago fan (My team sucks ass but at least I can admit that- Oilers), However I would like to see Chicago win if mine can’t, because Duncan Keith is from my home-town.

"They have no fans too- only show up when they win." Pot, black…meet kettle. Seriously. Go take a long gander at Pittsburgh’s attendance from 2002-2004.

Using a riff on a holiday favourite to describe Pittsburgh:

Four uniform changes, Three Stanley Cups, Two Bankruptcy Filings, One thrown seaon (83-84- got ya Lemieux) and a giant winning lottery (2005)!

I love visiting Chicago; might well be my favourite American city. Here’s a hint- if Francis Albert Sinatra (the greatest American singing talent- period) wrote an iconic song about your city…you can chirp all ya want.

Hey, arrogant fan, you’re Penguins won’t even make the Cup. They have no chance with OV’s Capitals and the Devils out there. And your bashing of the Hawks is just plain stupid. Even as a Wings fan, I’m not afraid to admit that they’re a good team. Maybe you should think things through before you ask a totally biased question like this one.
