Carlos Aponte was ALOT BETTER than Hannibal Means by a long shot, he should of went to Hollywood instead of that guy!

@luvinxu19 I watched it too, I couldn’t believe it either. This is the worse year for AGT I never have been more dissapointed with it. Second time I fell asleep on it, usually I vote but this year I didn’t even bother. It’s all howie mandel’s fault cause if it wasen’t for him carlos would have gone through. Howie Mandel I hope you grow hair.

Maybe we need a new show: America’s Got Opera. It’s difficult to compare a quality voice like Carlos’s with a magician or dancer or bike rider or a pop singer. otherwise we might just as well leave the show to opera singers. He’s good, very good……but not Vegas. America’s Got Talent is among the top five most watched tv shows, way above hockey and baseball and even football. That’s not likely to change. Yes, there have been questionable calls by the judges — and by the public.

I am also surprised he didn’t make the wildcard show, I was so sure he’d be there. I don’t really understand it, doesn’t make sense to me at all.

There are many opera competitions out there, you can start by watching “The Audition” documentary, it was shown on PBS earlier this year: /watch?v=odqrkmePyPQ
But as opera on AGT is more classical crossover than opera, it’s a bit different. It’d be nice if they televized opera competitions though….
If we get an opera competitive tv show, I’d like to see judges that actually know something about opera. Current judges don’t have a clue.
