thats what it seems like…I mean i feel like after seeing the movie, this can’t measure up to it. its like “oh look at the sexy actors, use your imagination, this chair represents a courthouse!”
i like big sets and costumes and what not…imho
I’m going to have to disagree with the other comment on this… There is no set changes or costume changes. I didn’t like this musical at all. One thing that really bothered me was the the whole company is sitting on the sides of the stage the whole time while they are not performing… It just seemed like a very low budget show.
I saw Chicago Tuesday night! … And was extremly dissapointed :/. I don’t feel it was “Broadway quality”. I COULD NOT WAIT to see The Cell Block Tango live and they honestly did ABSOLUTLY nothing with it beside sat in a chair. Danced around the chair then ran around the chairs. I was very disappointed with the whole show. It wasn’t horrible but I wouldn’t recommend seeing it unless you get discounted tickets or something of that nature.
It’s not. I went to see it Tuesday night. And they don’t dance much. The Cell Block Tango had like NO dancing in it. I think they could’ve done a lot more with all the choreography. Most of the songs they just stood there and sang. It was a little upsetting :/
What´s the name of that Song ? … I just went to NYC and watched this Musical and the Main caracter is a Black Girl …. VERY TALENTED …. AMAZING !!! WOW !!! But I never knew the name of that song … lol
I went to see this on broadway last week it was brilliant! I felt so sorry for Tom Wopat (Billy Flynn) though, during to intermission he was trying to sell his own cd at the gift shop, nobodyb bought a single disc.
