@Kito343 You do put a good point. ’97 had MVP Karl Malone, and the outcome could have went either way. I think ’98 was tougher as three-peats are more rare than back-2-back. With both of the teams with identical records and finals experience it showed the equality of the series. 97 were newcomers like 96, and 93, despite Barkley’s team having the best record. The Lakers were experienced but aged, The Blazers were the 2nd toughest team as they been there before.
@africaever youre right about that, but what made me say that was the fact that chicago didnt know what to expect from utah back in 97 cause they got blown out in game 3, game 4 came down to the last 2 minutes of the game, game 5 had chicago being down 16 in the first half and then u had mj with the flu and still he scored 38 and somehow pulled the win, and game 6 came down to the last 5 seconds, although u made a real good comment, this is the reason why i think 97 was tougher
@Kito343 to me the ’98 nba finals was more grueling. After a tough seven game series, you meet the same adversary looking for payback who happens to have home-court advantage, and to have to clinch the win on the road without a healthy Scottie Pippen. All the pressure.
@bearsfootballin06 lol me too. I was a big Reggie fan but during that series he was the enemy, and it hurt like hell when he pushed Jordan like that and no foul called, when he was all alone I knew the ball was going in. Reggie rarely missed those types of shots.
5:50-6:07..”And in the closing minutes, the Bulls FINALLY finished off the Pacers surviving one of the most grueling challenges of their championship reign”..absolutely love that part..and the music to go along with it as well!!

5:06-5:30 Game of wills, we can’t let it end here, we’re not done. Everyone wants to win, but this team refuses to lose.

August 6th, 2010 at 1:23 am
“because he knew there was still time left for Jordan to get one last shot”
No, it’s not for this reason ; the reason is that he knows Reggie made a “flagrant” foul and that the referee didn’t call.

this was a good series, however, i think that the 1997 finals was probably their toughest series in their 6 championship run

I remember being so nervous before Game 7 and when they fell behind early I just couldn’t see Jordan knocked out in the Playoffs, I just couldn’t….
